Background I found a passion for training and racing long course triathlon at the end of 2014. I travelled over to the Big Island of Hawaii to watch the Ironman World Championships in Kona. Gaining inspiration from watching my partner, Damien Collins, who placed 4th in his age group and the Australian Female Professional, Mirinda Carfae, who ran down her competitors to win overall female, I knew that this sport took a whole lot of heart and that it was for me. I love that I get to share my experience, knowledge and passion for this sport with others.
I believe I have a lot to offer to athletes with my history as a high school teacher, studying Sport and Exercise Science and having spent the last 5 years training and racing as an elite age group triathlete (see personal achievements below).
I’ve been coached by Richard Thompson, head coach at T:Zero Multisport, since 2016. I have loved being apart of the T:Zero family as an athlete over these years and am looking forward to helping others achieve success in this sport under the T:Zero Multisport philosophy.
I am constantly updating my coaching pedagogy with a combination of scientific training methods, my own personal experience, and learning from previous coaches. I know how important it is as an athlete to have a coach who works around your lifestyle and believes in your goals and ambitions. Every athlete is unique, and a training program needs to reflect this. Above all else, for a training program to be successful; communication and consistency are key values that I look for in athletes.
