Background I have always had a deep passion for sport whether playing it or watching it. As a kid I was ranked in the top 10 BMX riders in the country and I have represented Queensland in softball and vigaro.
My passion has always been for cricket and I was fortunate enough to represent my state and country. I travelled to England to compete in the Ashes series and to South Africa for the World Cup. I was privileged to play in the World Cup final and felt being a world champion was the highest achievement I could receive in the game and retired from cricket to pursue my working career.
This left a void in my sporting life and this is where cycling and triathlon came to the fore. In 2013 I started to get serious about triathlons having caught the ‘triathlon bug’ following a few enticer races. I have had some wonderful experiences, successes and personal achievements in my short racing career.
I have completed several University degrees to assist in my advancement in my professional career. In 2016 I successfully completed the Ironman University Coaching Certification Program and an Accredited Certificate of Nutrition as a have a passion in this area. In 2018, I successfully completed Training Peaks University to further enhance my knowledge and skill base in this training tool.
I have a keen interest in promoting a holistic approach to coaching including the development of customised training plans, sustainable nutrition plans, adequate recovery and developing a strong mindset to achieve the athlete’s goals and dreams. I am a passionate and driven person who always strives towards goals as an athlete and I bring this commitment to the realm of coaching. In 2018, I was honoured and humbled to be appointed a Senior Coach in the T:Zero coaching stables.
Having been a T:Zero athlete for an extended period of time, I am well aware of the positive impact customised plans can have for athletes to ensure there is a balance between family, work and training. I have experienced the T:Zero training plans and lifestyle firsthand and can only speak positively of the changes the program has made to my life in a holistic sense and the results have spoken for themselves. I look forward to working with T:Zero athletes to ensure they have the same positive experiences I have been fortunate to enjoy!

I chose Monique because I knew how passionate and driven she is towards training. I signed up with her and undertook a 5 month training program aimed at the Cairns 70.3 which I then competed in and finished with a time way better than my expectations even though Monique never had any doubts. I believe I achieved this result because of the training I received from Monique. I genuinely believe I wouldn’t have achieved anywhere near this result without her. During the program she was in constant contact with me, giving me lots of encouragement and pushing me to achieve results. She kept the training interesting and enjoyable and I saw huge improvements in myself that I never thought possible. I would thoroughly recommend Monique as a coach to anyone new to the sport or anyone who has been doing this sport for any length of time. This is why I am about to continue a long term training program with Monique, I have a number of new goals and I know Monique will play a big part in helping me achieve them. Cam M - Ironman 70.3 athlete
" I can honestly say that the hardest part of achieving my goal to complete an Ironman was the journey; getting to the starting line confident I belonged there and that I was fit enough to finish. T: Zero coach Monique made this happen for me. For the past 8 months, she helped me balance my busy family/ work life by working out weekly training schedules that were easy for me to achieve. Monique provided me with regular weekly feedback as to how I was progressing and kept me motivated. She was always available for me to discuss any concerns, particularly when I had to move sessions around when the unexpected (life!) happened. T:Zero’s tri camp was also great. It gave me the opportunity to meet other likeminded athlete’s and I got lots of great tips! Monique was friendly, professional, fun and kept me goal focused when times got tight. There is no doubt that without T:Zero’s coach Monique, I would not have completed my goal of completing my first Ironman! Thank you!" Nichole B - First time Ironman athlete
