Hey team, this week I thought I’d do something a little different for the Wednesday Wisdom and share a video I recently came across. This one really hit home for me as I often lose count the number of times each week I think or say “I’m busy” without realising what I’ve been doing. How you spend your time is largely a choice, therefore being busy is a choice. Now don’t get me wrong, we all lead busy lives juggling family, friends, work, training and chores - and a massive kudos to those doing it with children. But what are our priorities? Are we really “putting first things first”? Have we successfully planned our weeks to ensure we’re allowing ourselves the best opportunity to complete what WE HAVE decided are our priorities? Or are we blindly letting time pass us by, binging on Netflix while scrolling through social media for the fourth time in the last hour? I highly recommend watching the video, but if you’re too “busy” please take this final word from Laura: “Even if we are busy, we have time for what matters. When we focus on what matters, we can build the lives we want in the time we’ve got”. View the Laura's Vanderkam's TED talk here!
